have recently come across this new  device. 
am very excited about it myself, as it is specifically designed to speak to 
you, rather than be looked at, so has  audio feedback, and proper buttons. I 
have previously been using the apple watch as a swimming tracker, but I really 
do think this new device is going to do a much better job, with better audio 
feedback, and at a very considerably lower cost. 
the apps for iPhone and android,  both seem to be  very accessible from the 
outset, but haven't really gone in to all there features yet. 
there are also some good videos on the support page, which do give quite a bit 
of useful info, although as they feature sighted people doing things with the 
apps, some of there usefulness does get a bit lost.
