Hi! An earlier post said that the volume of the Air Pods could be adjusted using the double tap. i went into Settings, Bluetooth, and under the settings for the Air Pods Siri is the default for the double tap, and there are a few other choices, but adjusting the volume is not one of them, so it appears that you can't adjust the volume of Air Pods independently of the device's volume control.
