I have seen this behavior for quite some time. Normally I can skip the first name, go to the last name and enter the info. Then I can swipe back to the first name field and am able to enter the text? I have iPhone8 and iPhone5S with thee updated IOS versions. Lately, I am unable to type in the first and last name field when adding a new contact. I tried to do standard typing, touch typing and direct touch-typing, but the character doesn’t get typed. Your help is much appreciated.
