Hi Sieghard, This current issue I’m having has nothing to do with just downloading a particular app. This update I am referring to is my Apple update settings, in which when I try to login, the phone is not accepting my current password. If I can’t sign in to update my Apple settings, I will not be able to use some account services on my phone. I firmly believe all these issues I’m having is because my new xr phone has the old phone 6 settings. I will have to set up my xr phone once again as a new phone. Even though, an Apple rep and I set the xr phone up as a new phone last week, unknown to myself, the phone 6 was connected to my xr phone, and the reason I say this is because my new xr phone is working exactly like my phone 6, in which is very poorly.

If you are talking about an app update I assume the problem is that you may have originally purchased or downloaded the app with the old Apple Id. If you know what app it is I would simply delete it and redownload it and all should be good. Hi All, Ok, I followed the instructions by signing out, and signing back in, and that was successful. I am still getting the same message though. On the home screen, it says there is one update available. So I go in to the setting's app, and tap on the update Apple id settings. It says I have to sign in to update my Apple id settings, or some services will not be available until I sign in again. When I tap on the update Apple id, I'm asked to sign in using my password, so I enter my password, I then get a message saying wrong password, and then I get a message saying I need to enter my Apple id and password, but I don't get an edit field to enter my Apple id just a field to enter my password. Although, I did enter my Apple id in the only edit field, as well as my password, but I still get the same message saying wrong password. This is crazy. Any other suggestions? Thank you all so much.
