Hello Joe, Yes, you can be signed into one ID for purchases and a different one for iCloud. Family sharing is also an option. If you use Apple Music, Family Sharing might be preferable because everyone can have their own musical favorites. If you use iTunes Match, however, sharing an ID for purchases is better because then everyone has access to everyone's music. Also, everyone has access to in-app purchases, which isn't the case if you use Family Sharing.
