Hi Terry,

To remove a particular album, double-tap its name. You should find a Remove 
button on the album screen. Double-tap it and choose the option to remove 
downloads. You can do the same thing with a playlist. You can also delete all 
or some music by going to Settings and choosing Storage, then Music.

The iTunes and App Store section of Settings lets you control which content, if 
any, is downloaded to your phone automatically.

To get music from your library onto your phone, you can connect to iTunes and 
sync particular albums, artists, and playlists. If you use iTunes Match or 
Apple Music, you can download content from your library without using iTunes. 
You can also put music into Dropbox and use the Dropbox app on your phone to 
play it.
