On my series 2 watch this happens occasionally, but I can typically reduce how often it happens by doing the double tap a bit harder. From all I heard you really would want a series 4, my wife and iI were thinking of upgrading and we will eventually, but for now we had other things which have priority and there is a good chance we will wait and see if there is a fifth gen watch next September before we go ahead. The series 2 is definitely a bit on the slow side, but it is OK and I for one can't justify upgrading the Apple Watch every couple of years. I really hope that when we buy the fifth generation watch whether that will be in the fall of 2019 or the fall of 2020 that we'll have that one for at least 6 or 7 years.

I upgraded to the watch for and absolutely love it. Everything is so responsive and fast.
