I'm still not sure that that's enough. I think you can test it out try getting that greeting at the top of the screen and listen for the Messages to download when you have cellular data just turned on after it's been off. If you have unlimited data and under cellular data you have it set to allow The mail app to make use of it, then those messages will automatically download. And also you might wanna have notifications on if you're not listening for the sound effects.
