Make sure the rotor is set to Actions and then flick either up or down when you are in the Recent Call list and Voiceover will say "Delete", double tap on that and the call will be deleted from the log. You can also tap "Edit" at the top right of the screen, once you do then there will be a "Clear" button on the top left, double tap it and confirm and your call log will be cleared completely.
