Same here. I've made and assigned custom ringtones ever since I got my phone (4s) back in january. The guitar strum that came with the phone is my default, but I easily have about 10 or so customized tones all self-generated. Same goes for the vibrations.

I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 6 and this works fine for me. I made a few RingTones with iTunes from songs I have and could assign and save them just fine and I did one for my work number and then called my cell from that number and the custom RingTone worked. I just thought I post this so that if somebody had problems they can revisit this and give it another try. Anybody who wants more information from me feel free to post it or email me directly.
