I would recommend you move away from the splitters, a splitter, especially If you buy the Belkin Rockstar, costs just as much or more than a good charging pad and it will serve you better in the long run. Just keep the splitter you have and try a charging pad which also lets you use a wired lightning headset while the phone is lying on the pad charging.
