Hi, Yes, if you are using your phone, notifications go to it. If you aren't, they go to the watch. If you don't want a particular notification to ever go to the watch, you can configure it not to by flicking to Manage when the notification comes up on your watch and double-tapping, or from the app's settings in the Watch app on your phone.
