First call with a problem we made to Consumer Cellular, and the guy suggested turning off Raise to Wake, and I am so glad he did, and I did.

If you are using VoiceOver this will get in the way and be really annoying if turned on, not to mention being a real power drain. It's located within display and brightness in your settings.
