When you unroll it to put it on it turns on. Then you go to the Qardio app and press the start button and it gives you your blood pressure. The app even saves your readings. The app is totally accessible. You can get it on Amazon. They have great tech support if you have any issues. Oh one more thing, when you roll up the cuff it turns itself off.
