Dave, that is really weird. What do you get if you swipe around? What
options are listed? The options you hear would make the type of app
very clear.
When I open Voice Dream Scanner (formerly Scanner), I'm sitting on the
image preview. This isn't a button or a heading, it just is. A swipe
right brings me to a menu button. Another right swipe takes me to the
Capture Image Button.
I'm using the U.S. App Store, but if I just type in Scanner in the
search box I get several hits, none are specifically Voice Dream or
Voice Dream Scanner.
I found the new Voice Dream scanner by typing Voice Dream in the search
box and swiping to the Voice Dream Scanner Button..

It sounds like you opened the same app I have, it's called Radio
Scanner Deluxe, but the screen name or app name or whatever the
official name is has it called Scanner. This is why I wanted to
change the Voice Dream scanner. I use both apps frequently and
didn't want to keep opening the wrong one.
What happens if you double-tap on that app. Does the Voice Dream
Scanner open?
