I did find that the scan using Scanner benefited greatly from the page being as flat as possible, one of the bigger challenges for the kind of stuff I typically put down on a variety of surfaces, including flat level ones. Pages buckle or curl at the edges and require a weight or a hand to hold them flat. That brings me around to where to order the Fopydo Stand which I swear Amazon used to sell but no longer does. This was done in my office room in our house with no lights on, so it was left to the apps to deal with lighting. Both had the flash on.
