I have a SenseView hand held video magnifier. A few years ago I tried a couple
phone apps for magnification, but could not figure any out. I was listening to
a couple Blind Bargains podcasts from CSUN talking about products that work
with an iPad and claim to be a terrific video magnifier system, but the price
tags were two to three thousand dollars. Am I missing something? I'm not
shelling out that kind of money and even only got the SenseView because it was
a close out of a demo model. I don't need magnification as much as the
ability to reverse color schemes to light print on a dark background. Anything
out there worth considering or do I just stick with OCR? Probably the main
reason I use a video magnifier is when the formatting is not conducive to OCr,
such as in a cookbook, or the back of a box where I'm trying to find a recipe.
