You can certain suggest such a gesture, I personally don't find it very difficult to find the Send button very quickly, I can usually touch in the right spot to put me into the edit field and often I want that to listen one last time to my message especially if I dictated it and once I am there it's just a single flick right which takes me to the Send button.

If you use Blindr Screen Input, three finger flick up will send a message. I hope this help. I know it doesn't help if you don't use Braille, but I suppose you could dictate it and then put Braille Screen Input on and send it with that gesture. Just saying.
