Hi,

For 2 years, I have been using Skype video communications twice weekly with 2
different persons using different equipment at the same institution; each
session is one-on-one, and not group Skypes. It worked well until about 2
months ago.

Skype continues to work well with one of the individuals. The other, however,
has developed poor audio quality over the past 2 months. It sounds as if
several people are walking on bags of potato chips, and significantly
interferes with understanding the audio of the other person. This person has
noticed no problems on their end; I come through loud and clear.

This used to work well on my iPhone 6 being used as an iPod, but for that one
person that one went south about 2 months ago; the phone/iPod otherwise works
well, but Skype doesn't for that one person. I have had the same problems
subsequently on both an iPhone 7 being used as an iPod, and my current iPhone
10 XS.

Each device is running the latest iOS and Skype apps. The tech person at the
other institution suggested using a Bluetooth speaker on my end, but that
didn't help at all. I am using Skype in my room containing the router, and I
have more than adequate download and upload speeds, at least as the Speedtest
app reads my connection.

Does anyone have any insights to offer, or suggestions for fixing?

Thanks in advance, Keith
