It always sounded to me as if Apple is particularly proud of the fact Alex sounds so human that you can even hear the breathing. Years ago I once went to an Apple Store to get a little demo of a Mac computer with Voiceover (the first and last one I ever felt the need for) and the Apple Genius who was working with me was so pleased about this incredible achievement that he must have mentioned it 5 times. I then pulled out my Windows laptop and fired up Jaws with Eloquence to show him how a no-nonsense synthesizer should sound like. I told him that by the time Alex took his first breath I’d already finished reading an email with Jaws and Eloquence 😂🤣
