Actually, there's a reason for that, at least it appears so to me. Because you don't feel the pressure of the power button pushing in, the tendency is not only to press hard, which you do need to do but also to hold it in an attempt to get it to work. It took me a little practice but now one firm press and release works for me. But i understand that this might not work well for some people. If they made one for the 4S, I would buy that too.
