Yes that's why I acknowledged that it wasn't a fair comparison by any means.
I was just pointing out that the short text channel had become much, much
less responsive let alone accurate for me in recent times with no clue why.

Actually comparing the document channel in Seeing AI with Voice Dream
Scanner would be better.
I would choose Voice Dream Scanner if I wanted to keep a scan, but now that
Seeing AI can doesn't need to be so high above the document, they are pretty
even on accuracy.
Voice Dream Scanner is still faster since it doesn't need the internet, but
the issues with Seeing AI and its donecument channel are gone.

If you have not installed the Seeing AI update, I highly recommend that
you do. The document channel works much better now. Here are the
improvements:
Seeing AI, Yesterday, Introducing a new battery saver mode which will stop
recognizing if nothing is found for a period of time. Recognition will
start again when the phone is moved.
Increased the field of view on the Document channel, so that the phone
does not need to be as far away. This also means that Seeing AI now works
with document stands .
