Hi Curtis,
It is Options plus Enter. Apple's Option key is the same as Windows alt key.
I had replied to that thread with this information before; but I did not
specify that alt on a Windows keyboard will map to Options on an Apple keyboard.

I only learned that keystroke a few months ago and I've been using Bluetooth
keyboards with my Apple devices for years.

Subject: how to generate a "new line" command.

I just happened to now be writing with my kids, "text messages" and found that
the alt-enter, (don't know what IOS calls the alt-key on the standard windows
keyboard) generates the new line command in a text message on IOS. I thought
I'd go check since I attempted to answer the question, and don't know if it
came from this list or not, but there it is, alt-enter, together generates a
new line.
