And I wonder if you have noticed the problem gradually getting worse over time. If so, it is because some crusty crud has built up in that little slot where your ear rests against. Hold your phone upside down so that anything you scrape out will fall out, and take your fingernail and scrape back and forth in that slot. Be sure to do it along the edges, too, and check the ends of that slot. Don't go wild and scrape hard enough to damage whatever is on the bottom of that slot, but you have to scrape this crud out. It sounds totally crazy, but it surely fixed the problem on my IPhone 6. Do this at your own risk. The problem is that the incoming volume on a call is extremely low although the speaker volume is more than adequate. The other party can hear me fine both when I am listening on the ear piece or listening on speaker phone. However, I have difficulty hearing the other party when I listen on the ear piece.
