In case anyone has the same experience we just had with updating to 13.1 on the ipad, this is our experience. The update went very smoothly, however, it changed our voice over voice to smantha. In trying to change it back to Tom, Tom still appeared to be the default voice. He was definitely selected as the default voice, and when we played the speech sample, his voice didn't play, instead samantha's voice was saying my name is tom. A soft reboot of the ipad didn't do anything, so what did work was shutting the power down completely and then restarting the ipad, and Tom began talking. We haven't updated our iphones, yet so we don't know if the same thing will happen. We're interested in hearing if anyone experienced anything different or if you experienced what we did in just simply going into a voice. Also is there some different way to change and activate voices with 13.1? Thanks.
