Hi, In Settings/Accessibility/VoiceOver/Verbosity, you can control whether table headings and row and column numbers are read. If you only want this info not to be read in the Mail app, you can go into Activities in VoiceOver Settings and set up an activity in which column and row numbers aren't spoken that comes on when you open Mail.
