That is very strange. Try clearing the RAM. Hold down on the power button until you hear power off. Do not power off, instead, release the power button, and hold the home button, or side switch, until you are back on the home screen. Then check again. Also, is the braille table in the rotor? You should be able to turn to braille table and switch tables, once you get it working.
