I like to have never been able to delete a contact, so in order to save any of you from the struggle I had, here is what I did.
Scroll Bar kept coming up, so I just decided to ride that sucker 100 percent. Delete is the last choice in Edit, and I figured that would be what it would take, and that was it! What a nuisance. Incidentally, I called Apple Accessibility about the VoiceOver problem. She said it was being reported, and she documented my complaint, to add increasing credibility, since the more complaints, the more likely a faster resolution. Well, originally I called about deleting a contact, and she was unable to help, wanted to screen share. So I said I'd been putting off calling Apple, but I needed to sign into iCloud, so could she help. Well, there were some problems there, evidently from way back when I had a 4S, long time sold, and anyway to get everything all straight now, I'm supposed to get an email from them within the next 24 hours and call within three hours after it arrives. So, if the darn thing arrives at 2 in the morning, I'm shot out of the saddle. Amnyway, then, after I got off with her, then I went back to the contact, and decided to just ride that Scroll Bar for all it was worth, and that was what it took; the contact is a goner now.
