Unfortunately the problem with this app right now is that pressing any of the buttons throws you out of the app. This apparently happened with iOS 6 but I'm not absolutely sure about that. But when this is fixed, yes, you can change those settings under the chime the quarters heading. And since I'm also using a "chime" app to speak, I'm assuming there's a way to turn off the speech in westminster chimes if it speaks. I seem to remember that there was something a little complicated with using these apps or with the way I set them up because I think i had to do something in notifications but it has been a long time since i set them up.
