It sounds like you're talking about a lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter if I understand your post. Such an adapter would be used to connect a pair of wired earphones with the old 3.5mm plugs to an iPhone with only a lightning jack. I believe they came standard with the iPhone 7 which was the first one without a conventional headphone jack. You can purchase them from the Apple Store and I'm sure a number of other places too.
