Hello Christina, You are correct when activating links directly from a time line. However, the problem is when one opens a tweet and then attempts to activate imbedded links. To be even more specific, if an image in a tweet has a link tied to it, then a VoiceOver user can activate it; however, if the link stands alone, as it often does, then there is no VoiceOver access.
Now you may say, "Well, Mark, just activate tweet links from your timeline." The problem is that, very often, one may wish to open a tweet from the notifications area or the search results area in which case the imbedded link can only be accessed by opening the tweet, itself, which takes us back to the VoiceOver web link access problem.
