I assume the fact that he is asking friends or family to buy for him means he doesn’t like to or is not able to go out himself? There are a lot of places where you can buy a lottery ticket, here in Canada at most drug stores, 7-Eleven stores etc.

I don’t know if he plays the state lotto or just powerball or whatever, but I guess to be on the safe side, something that covers the national and California super lotto games. Trustworthy, accessible and on the level and all that. If so, what service do you use? I think he’s got an iPhone so if there’s an iOS app that can accomplish the same it would be good to know as well.
