Off the top of my head, downcast allows you to shake the device to skip forward, there are multiple buttons where you can fast forward and rewind with different time intervals, you can mass delete/Mark as read or unread, there are many more customization and configuration options as well. For example, you can set a podcast to start at a particular time to skip over the intro and do the same at the end. Downcast also offered 3X playback speed way before overcast. For the longest, a few of us kept bugging the overcast developer about increasing playback speed beyond the 2x speed. He was very reluctant to do so until only recently. I’m sure there are other things, but these are the first ones that again come to mind.
