Hello All, Just a quick note to inform you that a member of the Mac Visionaries list has confirmed this bug on his iPhone 8.
I will paste his reply, below: Mark [BEGIN REPLY]: From: [email protected]. All you have to do is plug in the headphones and it will play no matter locked or on. I looked for a setting and found none. What I did find is settings all over the place. You have to watch because you can change a settings from more than one location. [END REPLY] -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of M. Taylor Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2019 1:10 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Media Playback Automatically Resumes when Headset or Bluetooth Device Connected to iOS 13.x with or without VoiceOver Hello All, I will attempt to be as succinct as possible: Scenario 1: 1. Enter vehicle,. 2. Connect iOS 13.x device to car stereo system via Bluetooth. VoiceOver has never been enabled on this particular iOS 13.x device at any time during its history. 3. Open media playback app such as Apple Music, Apple Books, Audible, etc. 4. Begin playback. 5. Stop playback and lock iOS 13.x device. 6. In less than 10 minutes or so, media playback automatically resumes. Scenario 2: 1. Enable VoiceOver on iOS 13.x device. 2. Connect included wired Apple EarPods to iOS 13.x device. 3. Open media playback app such as BARD Mobile, Apple Music, Audible, etc. 4. Begin playback. 5. Stop playback and lock iOS 13.x device. 6. In less than 10 minutes or so, media playback automatically resumes. The only way I have found to prevent this automatic resumption of playback is to disconnect the included wired Apple EarPods from my iOS 13.x device. I believe this subject has been discussed, on-list, but cannot be certain so thought I would post. This is an extremely annoying bug that, for the first time in my experience, is not limited to those of us using VoiceOver. All replies greatly appreciated.
