M4R is the same as M4A, all you have to do is go to an M4A file in File Explorer, make sure extensions are not hidden, then press F2 and change the "A" in M4A to an "R" so it reads M4R.

M4R can be played in iTunes as well as the Groove Music app which comes with Windows 10, I think it will also play with the old Windows Media Player. You delete them the same way you put them on, connect your phone to the computer, open iTunes, go into the phone area, go to Tones in the treeview, then tab into the list and delete the ones you don't want. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Joshua Hendrickson Sent: Tuesday, October 29, 2019 7:10 AM To: [email protected] Subject: good and bad news about itunes and getting new ring tones on my iPhone 8, please help if possible Hi to all. A friend of mine has an FTP server where I thought he used to have some ring tones for the iPhone. I sent him an email and he sent me this huge zipped file with loads of ring tones in it. The file when zipped was a little over 2 gigs in size. Well, I unzipped it and I contacted apple support. This really cool guy named Jason walked me through the steps to get some of these ring tones to my iPhone. Well, first bad news, is that some of my ring tones ended up on my iPhone's music and now I can't get them out. The next bad thing is I do have a lot of new ring tones but after checking them out on my iPhone, I don't like most of them and wish to delete them . Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do. Thanks. I would have checked the ring tones before I put them on my phone, but they were in some kind of m4r format. Thanks for any help. -- Joshua Hendrickson Joshua Hendrickson -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
