Yes, I discovered that shortly after posting my previous message to the list. The odd thing is that the feature never worked on either my 4 or my 4S in iOS 5, but it works now with iOS 6. Maybe there were some undocumented improvements to the feature in the latest version of iOS? The odd thing is that I used the camera for more than a year on iOS 5 and never heard any information like that announced, but I'm certainly hearing it now. It also doesn't appear to be in any documentation from Apple.
