Hi Kelby, I'm assuming you're using an iPhone 8 or later. You can bring up the screen where you turn off the phone by tapping and releasing Volume Up, then tapping and releasing Volume Down, then holding the side button for a few seconds. If you do these same gestures but hold the side button for 10 seconds, the phone resets.
