The only time I've seen the ability to purchase extra credits be
unavailable
is when you're within 30 days of your plan renewing. I hope that helps and

I find the learning curve is quite small and certainly no more and
maybe less steep than for an app like Voice Dream Reader.
I'm sure somebody has done a tutorial or Podcast about the Audible
app and if you know a few basics as in how you download books from
your library of available books, how to delete them and that you have
to double tap the book title if you want the jump forward and
backward buttons to turn into Skip Chapter and Go back a chapter it's
really a very simple and fully accessible app.
