Hi all, I wrote to the list a few weeks ago saying that I can no longer read descriptions of playlists on Spotify, although I was able to with older versions of the app. I have also posted to apple vis, and put out a few posts in various facebook communities. A small number of people agreed that they were having the same experience, many people ranted on about unrelated issues, and one person even said they were not experiencing this issue with the 13.3 IOS beta. I have raised this issue with Spotify twice, using their online customer support chat feature. The first time, the person said they would escalate it. The second time, I was told that they could not see how they had impacted any accessibility features, and that what I should really do is contact apple accessibility, as it's a voiceover issue, not a spotify one.
I do not know what to do next. Do I indeed contact Apple? And, is there anything I can tell spotify about in terms of what they ought to be doing differently with the text of the playlist descriptions? i.e. could it be that the text is too small? no one seems to know what to do when I say "the text is visibly there but voiceover will not read it". Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I know I may just need to cut my losses, but it's also very frustrating to feel as though I'm getting nowhere. Thanks, all, and happy Friday.
