To add to this interesting discussion, I've found that for quite a while now, Compact Samantha pronounces the word defeat as defeeturing. Of course, it didn't do it in this email--go figure.
She's also saying GPS as geepees, which is quite annoying. Also, Siri British English (when using Siri--I haven't tested this with VO and the British female Siri voice) says PVTA as an actual word, rather than just the letters P V T A. That stands for Pioneer Valley Transit Authority, which is the name of the company that handles public transportation in my area.
