Try saying to your Homepod, Play BBC Radio.
You do not need to be subscribed to Apple Music for this feature to work in
IOS 13 with iPhone or HomePod, but sometimes Siri is a bit finicky on
complying with your request, depending on how you ask for the station.
It is of course critical that your Homepod be updated to the latest software
as well.

Hi all,
I was browsing the web the other day and thought I saw mention that IOS
13 for the Homepod brought with it access to radio stations like tune in
radio etc.
I have just acquired a Homepod and thought I would see if I could access
mainstream radio stations but without any success. I did see one
commercial station in the radio section on my music app on my phone but
couldn't get to anything else.
My question is do I need to have an Apple music subscription to gain
access to all these new stations?
At the end of the day all I want to do is to be able to say "hey Siri
play BBC Radio 2..." just as I can with my Echo.
Before anyone responds I know I could stream stations from the BBC
sounds app to my Homepod but this is unecessarily cumbersome when
compared to just asking directly.
