Hopefully, it asks you for permission to use the camera when you first launched the app and you said yes. If so, you want to hold the phone anywhere from 4 to 8 inches above the bill and it should tell you the denomination and whether it is the front or back of the bill. You can go into the main phone settings, and find eyenote and make sure it is allowed to use the camera, and you can add a menu where you can choose between speech, tones or vibrations, but most people will want to stick with speech.
