To me a small loss of sound quality in this would be perfectly acceptable given
the fact that at $299.99 the Bose neck speaker is 5 times as expensive as the
other one.
Of course that exact same one you provided the link for and which after
applying the $10 coupon is $59.99 costs $188 on Amazon Canada, I just don't get
it sometimes.
But I found another on Amazon Canada which even has FM Radio and which
otherwise sounds quite similar for $29.99 or something like that and I may give
that a try. I think the concept is not bad, but I certainly would never ever
spend that much on any Bluetooth headset/speaker and here in Canada the Bose is
$399 Canadian which is actually pretty much exactly what $299 US is given the
current exchange rate. I just realized that it's even on sale for $299 Canadian
on Amazon Canada right now, but that is still way too much, if it were $149.99
I would probably consider it. The only headset I'd spend $300 or $400 on would
be if Sonos finally comes up with a high quality headset which acts as its own
Sonos device/player and which preferably would also have Alexa/Google Assistant
built in. Maybe 2020 will finally be the year when they'll release it.

Hi,
The Bose SoundWear companion is $299.99 on amazon, although sometimes I’ve seen
it for $249.99. As much as I LOVE this neck speaker, I had to get one to
replace it (not replace it so much as be singled out as use on iOS) do to the
ongoing bluetooth issue with higher end devices on iOS 13.
This is the one I got. It’s quite good, not as much bass as the bose (waah),
but it’s adequate, and at least VO and sounds come out of it like they’re
supposed to!!!!!!!
Anyway, rant over, here’s the link. :)
https://www.amazon.com/Neckband-Bluetooth-Speakers-Waterproof-Comfortable/dp/B07WGGBPGG/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?keywords=oraolo+go&qid=1578423644&sr=8-1-fkmr1

I still use my SoundWear companion, but I use it on my mac and android tablet
now. I sure miss it on my primary device, but oh well.

I know people like VO and system sounds coming through the phone’s
speaker, but I don’t, because I can’t adjust the volume of VO while
the speaker is connected, even if nothing is playing.
