I use the free Google calendar available through my Gmail account for all appointments, then I synchronize it to the Native Calendar app on the iPhone. I have also installed both VO Calendar and FantastiCal on the iPhone so I can access my appointments more accessibly. From this base Google Calendar I'm able to dictate with Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant to insert appointments, and to check for upcoming events and activities. I must admit that VO Calendar is my go-to app on the iPhone. It gives a great day/week view, and although it isn't perfect on some fronts, it has tremendous benefits.
