If it makes a difference to you, I have used Alex for several years andstrangely enough I don't even notice the breathing issue any longer. It onlyseemed annoying in the very beginning. Perhaps others have a differentexperience but I find it the most useable voice for my own preference.I do change the Siri voice every so often and enjoy listening to a different"person". LOL

I don't usually just use one voice for either voice over or siri.
I'll use one combination for maybe a few months, then I'll decide that
is time to change things and try a different one.  There are several
choices to choose from, so why only just stick to just one.  I'd use
Alex more if only he didn't do that very creepy breathing thing  If it
weren't for the breathing, I'd consider him a fine voice.

space but I do know that it allows the voice to speak plainer and clear at
least to my ears. As I recall the couple of times I experienced Samantha
compact, she sounded muffled and much less precise as compared to her
enhanced voice.

I expect we could get a lot of comments on this topic since TTS voice
preference is so subjective and usually generates a lot of opinion
expression. I personally find Samantha enhanced to meet my needs because
I've found where I don't have a strong opinion to stick with the default
option with computer choices. I use Samantha enhanced at 60% speed on my

iPhone 8 and I make sure I add a custom pronunciation whenever she speaksaword or name incorrectly. I do try other voices from time to time but findI

always return to Samantha enhanced.

The subject line basically says it all. Occasionally, I get bored of the
default voice, and briefly experiment with another voice. I invariably go
back to the default though, as they all seem to have one peculiarity or

another: they either sound odd and distorted if sped up, pronounce toomany

words incorrectly, or are accented or inflect in such a way that doesn't
sound natural to me. What voices are you all using, and what speed do you
have them set to? What are your thoughts on frequency of correct
pronunciation?
