Hi, Your right, this doesn't work, I am not sure if its an iOS6 issue as I had not previously tried it.
The easiest way I found to do this is to go in to settings in Instapaper and click on the Add Readlater by email. In that dialog, there will be an email address that will look something like [email protected] where XXX will be a ceries of letters and numbers. If you create a new contact on your PC called Instapaper or what ever and give it the readlater email address, then sync your contacts, you will be good to go.
