I would have to disagree with you. As a parent of 2 minor children who
are involved in several extra curricular activities after school
multiple days a week, the instant pot has nothing to do with being
lazy. It allows me to cook healthy and nutritional meals for my family
without having to slave over a stove for hours. The app allows someone
like me with no usable vision to be able to operate the device. If
there wasn’t an app I would have to memorize several buttons and their
functions and/or find a way to mark them.

It’s a multi-function pressure cooker which can also be a rice cooker,
slow cooker, yoghurt maker and usually do about 11 or 14 different
things. There used to be a Bluetooth model which could be operated
with an app and now there is the so-called Smart WiFi model which as
the name implies gets connected to your WiFi.
