Dear ?Carolyn & List:
I find the big advantage of a larger screen is the on-screen menus and
keyboards are easier to use. With my iPhone 4S, my big hands could barely use
the on-screen keypad to enter my password. On the XS Max, it is a snap! Brian

I remember when I was so certain about that size of the SE; it seemed about the
size of my 4S. It is surprising how quick I got used to the 11. Before getting
it, I kept asking people to let me see their phones. I'd hold them and sort of
got the feel of bigger phones.

Don’t think I will be buying it. I really like the size of the iPhone SE.
Newer phones are just too big. Surely, sometime, the trend will go toward
smaller again. Smile!!

If you don’t want to spend the money then why bother to buy this upcoming phone?

Your iPhone 8 is a perfectly fine phone and it will serve you well for another
2 years, I have one myself and certainly wouldn’t even dream about buying this
upcoming phone which almost certainly will not have 5G support.

Whether I buy an iPhone 12 in the fall depends greatly on what Apple comes up
with, but for me it is also unlikely since it will probably have first
generation support for 5G, and maybe even first generation support for under
display touch ID, but in my opinion the phones nowadays are such mature
products and so expensive that I want to get at least 3 years out of one and
even better 4. I figure if I guy whatever iPhone comes out in the fall of 2021,
I get a model which better supports some of these new technologies, by then my
iPhone 8 which I only bought in December of 2018 will be 3 years old and it
will have earned its money.

I know some people are on plans which allow them to upgrade each year, but of
course these types of plans don’t come for free a d in the end Apple and the
providers get their money out of you.

Sounds like the iPhone 9 will be the best of all worlds. I hope the pesky IOS
13 bugs disappear and it works like IOS 12, smooth and reliable with 13
features. I will scoop up a 9 if that happens, maybe. I like my 8 and not
enthused about spending more money.
