If the dispute is about a fare then I’m pretty sure there is a category for that. I know there is one if there is a problem with a service dog. I once had a driver in Calgary who ultimately took me, but when he arrived and saw I had a guide dog he started arguing with me and after the ride I reported this to Uber via the app. I made sure that I mentioned he was otherwise quite nice, but their drivers should know the law and shouldn’t argue about whether I am obligated to tell them I have a guide dog or not. I can’t remember how long it took any more, I just remember that I received a reply very quickly, whoever wrote it apologized on behalf of the driver and Uber and while I had not asked for it nor expected it, the cost for my ride was refunded as well.

There are some automated processes you can use for disputing through the app, but if your issue doesn’t fit into their categories, it’s not easy, particularly with Lyft, where it can be hit and miss operating the combo boxes, finding any place at all where you can write, and fulfilling the capcha in a timely manner. Just so that I can write with either of these places, I have just hijacked a category, explaining that, say, I haven’t lost anything, but there was nowhere else I could find to write to explain my situation, and such and such happened; a few times I’ve even said that these places need to make it easier to right in about problems.
