As far as naming and “levels”, it really is immaterial, Apple will name it as they will, but for now it’s likely the annual or twice annual update cycle will continue, there will be more expensive phones with all the latest bells and whistles and other less expensive options for the majority of the people who don’t need or want to spend top Dollar (or Euro or whatever other currency). I think it’s a given based on what information is out there that the phones in September will all include 5G modems, whether those from Qualcomm or proprietary Apple designed ones we shall see, I just read an article that the 5G Qualcomm modem may be too thick for Apple’s liking and require the phone to be 8mm thick and that because of this Apple is also working on it’s own 5G modem, but that as so often is the case, Apple is not putting their eggs all in one basket and that they are most likely working on iPhone designs with Qualcomm’s modem as well as their own. I would also expect that we may see a somewhat refreshed form factor this fall, maybe USB-C charging/connectivity, but I have so far read little about dual authentication options as in Face Id and under-display Touch Id.
